Sayville 3 Great Neck North 2

Highlights: Will Slevin broke past a defender and crossed it to Chris Hendrickson, who was in front of the net alone and scored to tie the score at 2 with 16:05 left in the game. It took just 1:57 for Slevin to strike again. He dribbled past a defender and blasted a shot from 15 yards to the left corner of the net to give Sayville a 3-2 lead. Great Neck North (16-2) took a 1-0 lead with 24:15 left in the first half when Ben Mueller scored. Evan Martel converted a corner kick from Wissing with 33 seconds left in the first half to tie the score at 1 for Sayville. Sayville (18-0-1), making its first trip upstate, will play Byram Hills (Section I) at 9 a.m. Saturday at the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneonta in a state semifinal.
